Brodyr Baeddwen

Brodyr Baeddwen portray the daily life of the people that inhabited the Gower and other parts of South Wales from the time of the Viking invasions in 850, through the era Hywel Dda in the 900′s, extending our portrayals to the time of the Norman invasion and the establishment of the Norman lordships and castles. Our typical program includes battle displays depicting the Welsh either in an internal conflict or facing an invading force, poetry, storytelling and aspects of Living History, such as craft demonstrations and assisting the children in ‘having a go’ at Dark Age crafts and ‘dressing up’ in our armour for photographs.
